She was predeceased by: her parents, George Franklin Miller and Carrie Easter Self Miller; her stepdaughter Julie Castleberry Martin; and her siblings, Betty Gazaway, George Edward Miller and Billy Ray Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Cates (late Jim) of LaPorte, IN, Frankie Matthews (Joann) of Batesville, MS, Bonnie Steward (Ed) of Batesville, MS and Ruthie Stovall (late Jimbo) of Marks, MS.; and her stepson Gayle Castleberry. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
