He is survived by: his wife Josephine Mathis; his sons, Jamie Wright (Betty) and Cleveland Wright; his adoptive daughters, Alicia Wright and NeShedra Morris; his grandchildren, Janiyah, Jamal, Camryn, Clifton Jr., Anthony, Justin, Kaleb, TaKyra, Shayparis, Cierra, Aysha, Omaria and Gykyla; his siblings, James Wright, Robert Wright (Linda) of Batesville, MS, Elizabeth Blackburn, Oretha Wright, Annie Wright of Batesville, MS and Cora Mays of Independence, MS.; his brothers-in-law, Fred Mathis of Kileen, TX and Tommy Sharpe of Memphis, TN.; and his close friends, Roc Holmes, Charlie Holmes and Billy Ray Allen.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1238 Cosby Road, Batesville, MS 38606. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the same location.
