He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence John Baas Sr. (Gladys Felicity Roux Baas) and Theobald Philip Baas; his brother Laurence J Baas, Jr.; and his nephew Jason Patrick Baas. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Baas McTaggart and Lindsey Baas Reece (Greg); his grandchildren, Elliott James, Julian Daniel, Nolan Laurence, Paul Stafford, Maya Lin and Graham Philip; his former wife Nancy Part Baas of Slidell; and his brothers, Ray C. Baas (Bernadette) of Mandeville and Roy Franc Baas (Fay) of New Orleans. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70469). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
