He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Smith and Mary Ruth Smith; and his wife Martha. He is survived by: his children, Missy Probst (Walter), Michelle Crace (Nathan) and Mikell Smith (Tracie); his grandchildren, Emily Reeves (Logan), Cameron Crace (Kasey), Cole Crace, Anna Probst (Eli), John Probst and Mason Smith; his sister Elizabeth Jordan; and his brothers-in-law, John Paul McDevitt (Joyce) and Ricky McDevitt (Judy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (1823 MS-503, Paulding, MS 39348).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church cemetery fund.
