She was predeceased by: her parents, Lora Mae Faw Church and Troy Alton Church; her husband Samuel Rex Shumate; her son Ira Dewitt Shumate II; her grandson Gary Daniel Minton; and her siblings, Janie English, Mattie Blackburn, Leon Church, Beatrice Mae Church and Tommy Lee Church.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Lovette (Bobby) and Sue Ellen Minton (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Amy Baker (Shaun), Christopher Dale Minton (DJ) and Ira Dewitt Shumate III; her great grandchildren, William Baker (Ashley) of Samantha, Noah Minton and Gray Minton; and her grandchildren, Gizmo, Khloe "Koko", Kourtney, Max, Sadie Grace and Lily Rose.
