She was predeceased by: her parents, William Conneil Gryder, III and Elaine Avara Gryder; her brother William Conneil Gryder IV (Bill); her nephew William Conneil Gryder (Neil); and her cousin Matthew Avara.

She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey Sparks Guice; her children, Heath Gryder Allen, Lincoln Nowell Allen (Mary) and Alexis Allen McCarron (Kevin); her grandchildren, Gryder James Allen, Piper Elaine Allen, Sloan Nowell Allen and Palmer Conneil McCarron; her aunt Darlene Pitalo (Jordy); her sister-in-law Micha Gryder; her mother-in-law Ann Sparks Guice; her siblings-in-law, Saul E. H. Guice, II (Laura), Lee A. Guice and Martha Guice Swiber (Matthew); and her nieces and nephews, Garlyn Gryder, Lindsey Guice, Shelby Guice, Frances Swiber, William Swiber and Henry Swiber.

The family prefers any memorial contributions be made in her name to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
