He is survived by: his son Cecil Burrell Reid; his wife Anna Reid (Mitchell); his children, Curtis (Reid) and Debbie Grafton (Albert) of Detroit, Michigan; his sister Elberta Wright of Desoto, Texas; his grandchildren, Stephen Mitchell Reid of Grand Prairie, Texas, Joshua Reid of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jordan Reid of Grand Prairie, Texas, Crystal Wilson of Detroit, Michigan, Jacqueline Percosky (Brian) and Dadrien Prestwood of Texas; his great grandchild Aaliyah Wilson of Grand Prairie, Texas; and his grandchildren, Ashjia, Craig Peters of Michigan, Jacob and Shanessa of Texas.
