It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Burney (Biloxi, Mississippi), born in Vancleave, Mississippi, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Burney (Cloree) and Earnestine Burney; his brothers, Earl Leon Burney and Benjamin Burney Jr.; his stepbrother Clarence Washington; his grandson Ethan T. Burney; his aunts, Helen, Geraldine, Edna and Yvonne; Aldridge O. Burney.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Burney; his children, Carmanie Burney, Tanita Polk (Don), Earnestine Burney, Edward Burney, Charlene Burney, Courtnay Vereen-Johnson (Chris) and Rachelle Johnson (Jamie Bell); his brother Clifton Burney (Doris); his aunt Louise Gossett; and his sister-in-law Louverta Burney. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
