He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Johnson Gibson Young and Raymond Gibson; and his brothers, Larry Gibson and Lloyd Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Monique Gibson Cola, Darrell Gerard Gibson, Dr. Kimberlyn Gibson Negret and Anniqua C. Gibson; his uncle Bernell Johnson; his siblings, James Johnson (Christy), Brian Johnson, Carlie Young, Barbara Johnson Young, Pecola Young King and Cheryl Young Stern; Lesette Gibson. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
