He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bascomb Pate and Lee Ola Gavin; his siblings, Beulah Pate Bartee (Lyman), Imogene Pate Hartley (Ernest Sr.), Luverne Rose Pate, Mable Pate Waite (William), Sara Leola Pate, Annie May Pate, Sidney Broxton Pate, Eugene Lowell Pate, William Woodrow Pate, Theos Herman "Hot" Pate, Cleos Therman "Chick" Pate (Mabel), Samuel Bascomb Pate, Jr. and Horace Herbert "Jack" Pate; Carolyn Bell.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Brenda Burns (Pete) and Tommy Pate.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home - Biloxi (274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, MS 39531). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (Memorial Dr, Biloxi, MS 39531).
