Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Wesley Mechanic (Biloxi, Mississippi), born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 80, on August 8, 2022. He was predeceased by: his son Jeffery Mechanic; his parents, Frank Mechanic and Opal Shaver; and his siblings, Edna, Lorena, Hildreth Mechanic, Evelyn Keesee, Billie Talmadge, Helen Keating and Clifford Mechanic.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Mechanic; his children, Jammie Reece (Ike Stork), John Mechanic II (Stephania) and Joel Mechanic (Joilynn); and his stepchildren, Jaclyn Cochran (Mat), Leanna Vinson (Brian) and Thomas Gazzo Jr. (Lindsey). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Coalville United Methodist Church.
