He was predeceased by: his daughter Valarie Dawn Helm; his parents, Joseph O. Helm, Jr. and Bobbie Helm; and his grandparents, Joseph O. Helm, Sr., Martha Helm, Josephine and Lawrence Blanchard.
He is survived by: his wife Darly Helm; his children, Joseph O. Helm IV (Kristine) and Joelle Natasha Helm (Ashley); his grandchildren, Adam Helm and Kathy Nguyen; his sister Pamela Wells; and his nephew Bryant Klein.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home - Gulfport (11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the Biloxi Creek Cemetery.
