He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Patsy" Lyons; his sons, Robert G. "Bobby" Lyons, Jr. and Jerry Lyons; his parents, John C. Lyons and Adele Peresich Lyons; and his siblings, Marie Stewart, Joseph Lyons, John Lyons, Matthew Lyons, Jimmy Lyons, Kenny Lyons and Billy Lyons.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Coggin (Kevin), Julie Williams (Greg) and Wayne Lyons (Lisa); and his brother Stephen Lyons (Barbara). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
