He is survived by: his children, Sarah Erwin (Zachary), Tess Holden (Mark) and Alex Poothullil (Michelle); his grandchildren, Judah, Harki, Elias, Noah, Matthew and Grace; and his siblings, Kochuthresia Joseph, Alice Varkey, Dr. John Poothullil, Mary Joseph, Antony Poothullil and Jobe P. Martin. He is also survived by spouses and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
