He was predeceased by: his wife Merle Byrd; his brother W. L. Byrd; and his parents, Margret Byrd and Wessie Byrd. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Kraus (Steven) of Mandeville, LA and Linda Ros (Hank) of Biloxi; his grandchildren, Kevin Kraus, David Kraus, Rachel Ros and Haley Martin; and his pet Boots.
