He was predeceased by: his parents, Kye P. Meeks and Lottie Waldon Meeks; his siblings, Leroy Meeks, Paul Meeks, Bobby Meeks, Billy Meeks, Nylene Stroupe and Jane Cornelius; and his son Jason Fryar.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Bullock Fryar Meeks; and his children, Barbara Scott (Robert), Christi Meeks-Orman (John), Clay Meeks (Sharon) and David Meeks (Angie). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
