He was predeceased by: his mother Gena Smith; his wife Janie Lois Clayton Smith; and his children, Deborah Smith, Terry Paul Smith and Daniel Paul Smith.
He is survived by: his father Paul Smith; his children, Betty Smith Bass (Ray) of Blue Mountain, Glenn Smith (Brenda) of Blue Mountain, Johnny Smith (Laine) of Blue Mountain and Jackie Smith (Carol) of Fulton; his daughter-in-law Phyllis Smith of Blue Mountain; his brothers, John R. Smith (Helen) of Somerville, TN and Vernon Smith (Val) of Rohnert Park, CA; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Clayton (Gerald) and Larry Clayton (Joy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Email. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
