He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Newman and Melba Tollison Stout; his siblings, Winnie Faye Stout Grubbs, Linda Stout Grubbs, Curtis Wilburn "Pete", Loyce and Alvie "Gene" Stout; and his son-in-law Terry Bolen Holloway.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hardin Stout; his children, Bobby Joe Stout, Jr. (Marla) and Beverly Stout Holloway; his grandson Jason A. Holloway (Megan); his great grandchildren, Daelyn, Milly, Molly Kate and Josie Holloway; his stepgreat-grandson Easton Cornelius; his stepgranddaughter Wendy Treadaway; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Lacey, Haven and Keely.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the TRI County Baptist Church (638 CR 1, Tupelo, MS). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
