He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Clem Smith and Charlene Tillman Smith; and his sister Sue Tibbs. He is survived by: his wife Donna King Smith; his daughter Cassie Smith Dixon; his stepchildren, Rachel Manning and Richard Austin King (Savannah); his grandchildren, Brantley Dixon, Dylan Case (Kelsie), Brayden Williams, Elise Williams and Kaylee Richardson (Michael); and his daughters, Maggie Kay and Emmylou.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Franklin Funeral Home (291 Main St, Meadville, MS 39653). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Midway Cemetery (1200 MS-184, Meadville, MS 39653). A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
The family request memorials be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
