With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doretha Yvonne Lofton Smith (Bogue Chitto, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar B. Smith; her parents, L. L. "Luke" Lofton and Beulah Lofton; her daughter Ramona Smith; and her great grandchild Neil Corbin Granger.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Brent (Kelby), Brett Smith, Jennifer Davis (Randy) and Loretta Smith. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1645 Calvary Dr SW, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
