She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley and Ethel Mae Berry Brister; and her husbands, Bill and Mac. She is survived by: her children, Chuck Slay (Sandra) and Cathy Slay Kilpatrick (David); her grandchildren, Bret Slay, Whitney Slay Jones (Grant), Sydney Kilpatrick Foster (Hunter), Andrew Kilpatrick and Scarlet Grace Kilpatrick; her stepgrandchildren, Zac Grantham (Kari Ann) and Chelsea Barlow (Brit); and her brother Ray Brister. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakewood Funeral Home (6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
