He was predeceased by : his wife Syble J King; his parents, T. R. King and Edna King of Cotton Valley, LA.; and his brother Ernest M King of Jackson, MS.. He is survived by : his son Justin R King; and his sister Edith Booth.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Beulah Memorial Baptist Church (14000 MS-22, Bolton, MS 39041). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
