He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelvin Worley and Avanelle Worley; his parents-in-law, Emit McGaughy and Clare McGaughy; his brother-in-law Roy White; his niece Sarah Keele; and his nephew Stephen Keele.

He is survived by: his wife Dot McGaughy Worley; his daughter Allison Worley; his son-in-law Bradley Hooper; his brother Phil Worley; his sisters-in-law, Cissy Worley, Evelyn White and Helen Bryant (Rick); his nephews, Cal Worley and Jeff White (Stephanie); and his niece Rachel Boothe (Michael). He is also survived by several cousins, two great-nieces, one great nephew and several special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Gaston Baptist Church Building Fund.
