Though Dorothy Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Calley and Lugenia Calley; and her husband Leonard Hester. She is survived by: her children, James Hester (Melinda) and Janice Taylor (Larry); and her grandchildren, Joshua Hester (Morgan) and Macayla Cartwright (Colton). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Booneville Church of Christ (406 N 2nd St, Booneville, MS 38829). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
