She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecial Jones and Christine Carr; her stepfather Edra Carr (Larry Philpot); her son Larry Philpot Jr. (Buster); and her siblings, Sue Dalton, Venida Hatfield, Doty Harrell, Mary Roberts, Eddie Carr and Johnny Long.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Philpot of Booneville and Micheal Philpot (Felecia) of Mooreville; her siblings, Vi Holloway of Potts Camp, Doris Frye of Texas and Dale Carr of Michigan; and her grandchildren, Kanessa Philpot, Rayla Philpot, Krystal Philpot, Laranda Philpot, Micheal Philpot Jr. (Melanie), Kelsey Philpot (Cheyenne), Destiny Pyles (Cody) and Trenton Philpot. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
