He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Lee and Christine Davis (Hickman); his siblings, Jimmy and Brenda Jo Johnson (Davis); and his grandson Samuel Boone Branson.

He is survived by : his wife Cathy McCoy Davis of Booneville, MS; his children, Jeffrey Davis of Richland, MS, Sonya Branson (Chris) of Saltillo and Jena Hood (Elijah) of Jumpertown, Five; his grandchildren, Jayden Davis (Levi Pounds), Kameryn Davis, Aurora Elizabeth Davis, Oaklynn Marie Hood and John Brayden Branson; and his great grandchildren, Riverlynn Kate Pounds and Hayzen Lee Pounds.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel (506 N 3rd St, Booneville, MS 38829). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
