He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald McClaskey and Marie Harlan McClaskey; and his former wife Linda McClaskey. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn McClaskey; his children, Russell McClaskey (Cathy), Randy McClaskey (Brenda), Debbie Shanks (Bill) and Jeff McClaskey (Jean); his stepdaughters, Rhonda Ravenstein (Don) and Stephanie Mayfield (Jim); and his sister Deloris Washburn. He is also survived by numerous brothers; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
