He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramona Coghlan Spears and Jessie Lee Spears; his brother Ira Lee Spears; and his brother-in-law Frank Jernigan. He is survived by: his siblings, John Spears (Jan), David Spears (Barbara) of Ethel, Barry Spears (Mary) of Kosciusko, Ronald Spears (Shirley) of Brandon, Mississippi, Jessica Rose Jernigan of Ethel and Barbara Ruthene Gregory (Kerry) of Zama, Mississippi.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
