He was predeceased by: his parents, Erastus (Ruby Thompson, Sr.) and Ernest; and his siblings, Barbara "Doll" Thompson and Reverend Henry Christopher Thompson, Sr.. He is survived by: his son Randall Thompson; and his siblings, Erastus Thompson, Jr. of Florence, Mississippi, Dr. Sam Thompson and Reverend Mary Cooley of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
