He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Caldwell Owen; his children, Sherry and Todd; his daughter-in-law Tracy; and his grandchildren, Brandon and Tianna.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Canton Cemetery (226 E Peace St #4533, Canton, MS 39046).
His 84 years brought together a remarkable journey—from a young man in Canton with an interest in airplanes to a skilled pilot and mechanic whose contributions to aviation were recognized with one of the profession's distinguished honors.
