He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Pate and Mary Katherine Harcrow Pate; his sister Linda Inmon; and his parents-in-law, Edna Boone, Bob Boone and Donald Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Cecelia "Ceal" Jones Pate; his daughters, Leah Pounders (Luke) of Clinton, MS, Christina Kamper (Cody) of Enterprise, MS and Heather Burke (Randy) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Sabin Neely, Libby Pounders, Leland Neely, Lucas Pounders, Lane Pounders, Charlotte Kamper and Lovie Pounders; and his siblings, Barbara Ibarra of Seymour, TN, Patty Duffie (Alan) of Candler, NC and Curtis Pate of Columbus, MS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
