He is survived by: his mother Ann Chain Powell of Mount Olive, MS; his wife Elizabeth Leonard Powell of Brandon, MS; his children, Reece Hayes Powell of Brandon, MS, John Murphy Powell of Brandon, MS and Caroline Elizabeth Powell (Ty Clardy) of Brandon, MS; his in-laws, Henry and Judy Mayfield Leonard of Mount Olive, MS.; his siblings, Charles Powell of Mount Olive, MS, Bill Powell (Cherie) of Mount Olive, MS, Lisa Powell Sartin (Bodie) of Heath, TX. and Lyn Powell Fort (Greg) of Hernando, MS; his brother-in-law Chris Leonard (Leigh Ann) of Hattiesburg, MS.; and his friend Becky Smith of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
