He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elbert and Ora Olive Jennings; his sister Willie Ruth Wheeler; and his close friend Betty Magee Roberts. He is survived by: his daughters, Joy Jennings Lurate (Yerger) of Madison, MS and Kathy Jennings Brent (Joey) of Colmesneil, TX; his grandchildren, Lindsey Brent McLemore (Brent) of Nacogdoches, TX, Preston Andrew Brent of Huntsville, AL and William Yerger Lurate of Ridgeland, MS; his great grandchildren, Felicity Claire McLemore and Tessa Katherine McLemore; and his sister Dorothy Jean Pilgrim. He is also survived by his mother and sisters.
