He was predeceased by : his parents, Tommie Jackson Boyd and Johnnie Bell Dunaway Boyd; and his siblings, Thomas Gerald Boyd and Doris Carney. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Jean Bass Boyd; his sons, Jerome Boyd and Holland Boyd; his grandson Destin Boyd; his siblings, Lucille Davis (Alan), Peggy Mains (Tim), Pat Mathews (Charlie), W. C. Boyd and Willie Boyd (Karen); his siblings-in-law, Thomas Bass, Joey Carney and Sandra Boyd; and his canine Gracie Rae. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home (3780 US-80, Pearl, MS 39208). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
