He is survived by: his wife Elaine Swain Morten; his children, Jacqueline D. Madison (Jeffery), Darryl S. Morten (Shalena), Gwendelyn J. Morten, Lawrence James Morten, Jr. (Vanessa Vorhauer-Morten) and Carmen M. Siqala (Angela); and his siblings, Albert Sidney Morten, Jr., George Morten (Sharron), Hayward L. Morten and Jesse M. Williams. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the SandHill Missionary Baptist Church (1197 Greenfield Cir, Brandon, MS 39042).
