Nadine Roger s Lewis Obituary

Sister Nadine Rogers (Howell) Lewis was born on September 4, 1929. She was the first born to Mr. Eugene Rogers Sr., and Jannie Mae Outten Rogers.

She was married to late Mr. Otis Howell and three children: Jerilyn Howell Barkley (Casey), Beverly Howell and Floyd Howell (Karen).

She had a deep love for life, which was expressed through her joy in gardening, her passion for dancing, and most of all, her dedication to her ministry. Those who knew Nadine were touched by her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spiritual focus. Nadine Lewis was a woman of grace, she dedicated her life to Jehovah on December 2, 1961.

Her journey of faith and love began in Detroit, Michigan, where she met her pioneer partner and future husband, Sherman Lewis. Their shared commitment to their ministry brought them together, and in 1979, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, as regular pioneers. Together, they devoted themselves to spreading the good news.

After two years of faithful service in Phoenix, AZ Nadine returns home to Fannin, MS, where she continues her ministry in Flowood Congregation. Later, Nadine and Sherman also were asked to served in Canton Congregation. Throughout her life Nadine remained a devoted servant of Jehovah, always ready to share the good news with her friends, neighbors and relatives.

Her ministry was not just a duty it was her joy and her way of life. Nadine's kindness and spiritual insight left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had the hope of living forever on a paradise earth and she shared this same hope with all she met. She cherished a close bond with her spiritual brothers and sisters.

When Nadine health began to weaken in 2019, her lovely sister Delois Williams took her in her home to give her all the love and care she needed. They bonded like no other. "Sisterly Love" was all you could see. They shared a lot of special moments and revisited old memories.

Preceding her in death parents, Eugene Sr. and Jannie Rogers, husband, Sherman Lewis, daughter, Beverly Howell, brothers, Eugene Rogers Jr., Johnnie B. Rogers sisters, Thelma Howell, Dorene Bryant, Ozella Salter and Maranda Rogers.

She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her surviving children, Jerilyn Howell Barkley (Casey), Buffalo, NY and Floyd Howell (Karen), Detroit, MI. Grandchildren, Erica, Nickman Tony, Sharlethia, Derrick, Desiree, Lashanette, Javante, Curtis Jr., Floyd III, Shamika, Brianna and Jalan. One great-grand, Malaysia. Sisters, Erie Alexander (Sanders), Delois Williams (James) Brothers, Clifton Rogers (Leotha) and Clarence Rogers (Ann). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
