It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ollene Whitehead (Brandon, Mississippi), born in Prentiss, Mississippi, who passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest McCray and Ollie Wilson McCray; and her siblings, Mattie Moore, Inez Jackson, Francis Lee McCray and Thomas Earl McCray.
She is survived by: her husband Doyle Whitehead; her son Phil Whitehead (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Braden Whitehead (Lexi), Leighton Whitehead and Brehan Whitehead; and her sisters, Jean Maddox and Bernice Rice. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Park Place Baptist Church in her honor.
