He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Gilmer Holyfield; his parents, William Gaston Holyfield and Jewell Corley Holyfield; and his siblings, Bill Holyfield, Wayne Holyfield and Barbara McClure.
He is survived by: his children, Sherrye Ellzy (Johnny), Rick Holyfield (Terry) and Barbe Elmore (Robert). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Homes- Brandon (1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens (4111 US-80, Pearl, MS 39208).
