We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2021, at the age of 81, William Burney Bilbo Sr. of Brandon, Mississippi, born in Magnolia, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abel Bilbo and Linda Brumfield Bilbo of Magnolia. He is survived by: his sister Ann Bilbo Wiltshire; his children, William Burney Bilbo, Jr. (Laine), Robert Gaston Bilbo (Kynn), David Anderson "Andy" Bilbo, Ann Regan Bilbo Barlow (Jeremy) and Catherine Elizabeth "Beth" Bilbo Clingan (Kyle); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Broden Bilbo, Carlisle, Reese Bilbo, LeLe, Bo Barlow, Walt, Ann Catherine and Margaret Clingan. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter, three nieces, a great-niece, great-nephews, and many other great friends.

At LSU, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, where he served as pledge master, won three Charity Bowls, and formed lifelong friendships.

“My name is Jimmy Rushing. I played left-halfback on the 1956 MHS Bearcats football team which Bo quarterbacked. You might be interested to know that the boy who played Center, James Holmes, passed away on the same day as Bo. Only four of us from that first string still here so maybe they are getting the team together in Heaven. (Ha). I also remember when Bo drove me and three other guys to Maudi Gras in his yellow Oldsmobile in 1957. Those were our teenage "Happy Days". Sorry for your loss.”
