She is survived by: her sisters, Judy Stringer Smith (James) and Teresa Stringer Sherman (Gary); her children, Michael E. Pope (Loretta), Timothy Pope (Joy), Dr. Robert Pope (Joann) and Lisa Pope Bishop; and her grandchildren, Angela Pope Strausborger (David), Belinda Pope Ainsworth (Kevin), Ricky Grubbs (Kimberly), Michael D. Pope (Tabitha), Kevin Smith (Krysta), Tabatha Pope, Krista Smith, Veda Pope, Neva Pope, Michael Bishop, Melanie Bishop, Jerrid Hickman (Carol), Jeffery Hickman (Brandy), Benny Bullock (Ashley), John Traylor, Austin Peets (Brittany) and Sara "Mary Beth" Smith (Logan). She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall (3077 MS-13, Mendenhall, MS 39114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at the Braxton City Cemetery (129 Holly Ln, Braxton, MS 39044).
