He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucius Lamar Reed and Rosa Pauline Smith Reed; his siblings, Baby Lucius Linward Reed, Vincie Reed, Billy Ray Reed, Parley Reed and Betty Lou Dunaway Eickenloff; his grandson Brett Knight; and his uncle Allen "Cotten" Smith, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Tina Rose Reed-Hearn (Darryl) and Tony Glenn Reed (Wendy); his grandchildren, Anaston Claire Hearn and Skyler Knight; and his siblings, Kenneth Reed, Don Reed (Glenda) and Ada Anderson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
