She was predeceased by: her parents, Herchel Lancaster and Emily Climo Lancaster; her husband Doug Clanton; her daughter-in-law Bridgette Clanton; and her grandson Azariah Clanton.
She is survived by: her sons, John Clanton and Donald Clanton (Heather); her grandchildren, Dajon Clanton (Gabby), Taylor Clanton, Jazmine Clanton, Morgan Stansell (Allison) and McKenzie Stansell (Gabe); and her great grandchildren, Josiah, Elyce Clanton, Taylor Kate and Cohen Stansell.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Go Fund Me Page set up in her honor for the future Carol Clanton Scholarship Program that will go to a Brookhaven High School Student each year.
