He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Eugene Allen and Lillie Walker Allen; his wife Annie Voncile Allen; and his son Danny Keith Allen. He is survived by: his son Bradley Kent Allen; his daughter-in-law Melissa Van Dan Allen; his grandchildren, Ainsley Allen Brownlee (Harrison Brownlee) and Aiken Keith Allen; and his siblings, Patsy Byrd and Don Keith Allen (Jimmy Lou Rushing). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
