He is survived by: his wife Ada Catherine "Cathy" Brister Ivy; his children, Danny Paul Ivy, Jr. (Angela), Michael Shaun Ivy (Holly), Ada Christine "Christy" Wicker (Wade) and Adam Leggett (Dee); his brother David Ivy (Melody); his grandchildren, Corporal Danny Ivy, Lance Corporal Levi Ivy, Jaclyn Ivy, Jane Ivy, Kelly Ivy, Amber Tripp (Brantley), Clayton Wicker, Ana Sykes (Dylan), Lexie Wicker, Emma Grace Wicker, Shiloh Leggett, Melody Leggett and Rainey Lewis (Avery); and his great grandchildren, Brantly Michael Tripp, Jr. and Ada-Lynn Sykes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The lying in state was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gum Grove Baptist Church (1233 Gum Grove Rd SW, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
