She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wiley Thornton (Billy) of Hazlehurst and Berth Faye Starnes Thornton. She is survived by: her children, Clark Little and Virginia Alexander (Matt); her grandchildren, Olen, Emmie, Lyla and Graham Alexander; her brothers, Billy Alvin Thornton (Judy) and Bobby Thornton (Dixie); her siblings' children, Brent Berry (Hope), Mason Thornton (Caitlyn), Kate Blaylock (Jay), Emily Steadman (Joseph) and Caroline Welch (Waylon); and her close friends, Jonelle Harris Sims, Melanie Haire and LeeAnne Alderman. She is also survived by extended family, church families, dear friends.
Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst, Spring Ridge United Methodist Church, or to the Donna Thornton Memorial Scholarship Fund through Copiah Bank.
