She was predeceased by: her parents, L. H. "Punk" Lofton and H. Lavon Fugler Lofton; and her husband Carlos Lloyd Nations. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Nations (Mike Thornhill) and Jay Nations (Jill); her sisters, Janette Cox (Charles) and Martha Jackson; and her grandchildren, Jana Thornton (Jarod), Carlee Bess Daniels (Jeffery) and Jerrod Nations.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fair River Baptist Church children's fund or Fair River Baptist Church technology fund.
