It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Lyvone Thomas (Brookhaven, Mississippi), who passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Cantrell and Margie Hux Cantrell; her husband Charles Thomas; her sons, Mickey Thomas and Derric Thomas; and her sisters, Shan McCullough and Sandy Cook.
She is survived by: her daughter Charlie Smith (Brad); her siblings, Kenneth Cantrell (Kayla) and Carolyn Laird (Dwaine); her grandchildren, Makalah, Tristan, Kaegen, Shaylee Grace, Alissa, Emily, Daython, Joseph and Kesthin; and her caregivers, Wendy, Joyce, Dee, Jessica, Yolunda and Connie. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
