He was predeceased by : his father Bobby Mitchell Smith; his grandparents, Robert, Ola Pearl Smith, Lamar and Natalie Case; his stepfather Shelby Freeman; his aunt Aillene Tompkins; and his uncles, Roland James, Lamar Case, Jr. and Carey Michael Case.

He is survived by : his mother Shirley Case Freeman; his siblings, Danny Mitchell Smith (Paula), Mark Kevin Smith (Anita), Robert Bryan Smith, James Earl Mason, Mitchell Hugh Smith, Justin Lee Smith, Deborah Sue Alexander (Doyle), Christine Crawford (Jack) and Della Thomas; and his close friend Jennifer. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (1230 Macedonia Rd NW, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
