He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard Evans and Eva Lee Townsend Evans. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brister Evans; his daughters, Amanda Evans (Joseph) and Anna Evans Atkinson (Chris); his brothers, Jody Evans (Tammie) and Jeff Evans (Beth); his grandchildren, Isabella Ferguson Allen (Tyler), AvaLeigh, AJ Ingram and Atleigh Atkinson; his great grandchild Adaline Blake Allen; his stepchildren, April, Justin, Dustin (CeCe) and Jason (Hilie); and his sister-in-law Becky Moore (Kim).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (691 US-84, Brookhaven, MS 39601).
