He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert Eugene, Annie Mae Smith, Rodney Lamar and Mary Christine Nations; his brother David Lamar Smith; and his nephew Rodney Nations Pressley.
He is survived by: his parents, Robert Lloyd Smith and Nina Rose Nations Smith; his sisters, Kristi Smith and Connie Pressley (Clint); his cousins, Mary Herrington (Keith) and Leigh Ann Norman (Tommy); his nephew Clinton McCrorie "Mack" Pressley (Ashley); and his nieces, Kelly Christine McDonald (Chris) and Kayla Michelle Patterson (Jason).
